    3. What is a fissure sealant?

      Fissure sealants are plastic coatings that are painted onto the grooves of the back of the teeth. They form a protective layer that keeps food and bacteria from getting stuck in the tiny grooves in the teeth, helping to prevent decay. Our dental therapists can provide this treatment to keep your teeth in the best condition possible.

    4. Why should my child receive fluoride application?

      We use fluoride varnish to coat the outside of the tooth to protect against tooth decay. The gel sets quickly have a pleasant taste, and a fruity smell to ensure your child remains relaxed and comfortable during their treatment. By applying fluoride twice and year and maintaining good brushing habits, you can drastically reduce the chances of tooth decay.

    5. What is pulpal therapy for children?

      The pulp is integral to the development and stability of your children’s teeth, but through accident or trauma, it can become exposed and inflamed. Pulpal therapy will maintain the tooth so we don’t lose it and can be used in both baby teeth and adult teeth.
