Missed Appointment Policy
A charge will be made for missed appointments at the discretion of the dentist/hygienist. The practice reserves the right to charge for appointment time missed through whatever reason, without 24 hours notice of cancellation.
This policy relates to any appointment including routine examinations and hygiene visits. The first appointment missed for a routine appointment may be waived and the patient informed. Subsequent missed appointments will be charged, this includes plan member patients who may choose to pay a fee or in some circumstances forfeit a plan visit.
Communication will be sent to inform the patient about the missed appointment and any fees to pay.
If a patient has an outstanding fee, this will need to be settled before another appointment is booked.
If you need to cancel an appointment on a Monday please leave a message on our answerphone over the weekend to avoid a short notice fee
Late Cancellation Fee: If a patient cancels within the notice period, a fee will be applied unless there are extenuating circumstances.
The reception team must keep a record of the short notice cancellation and inform the clinician so that this policy can be followed
Waived Fee for Emergencies: Genuine emergencies (e.g., serious illness, accidents, family emergencies) will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and the fee may be waived at the practice’s discretion.
Deposit Policy
Unfortunately, due to a high number of failed appointments over the years we have adopted a Deposit Policy. The deposits are charged as follows:
Routine Dental health Check/Hygiene visits – Patients must pay the Dental Health Check/Hygiene fee upfront to secure an appointment.
Treatment appointments – from £50.00 Treatment deposits are carried over for each appointment and deducted at the final visit.
Emergency appointments – £86.00 paid upfront for the appointment. Additional costs will be incurred. This does not include treatment – Estimates will be provided.
Hygiene Direct Access patients – £150 paid upfront for a 1 hour appointment (Following the initial visit any pre-Booked hygiene appointments may be charged a reduced rate if the patient attends regularly at 3-6 month intervals)
The deposits are paid upon booking and are deducted from the cost of your visit when you attend. Treatment deposits are carried over for each appointment and deducted at the final visit. Payments are received by credit/debit card.

All deposits are lost if you fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation
